Author Guidelines

Author Submission Guidelines – Parawize Journal

Authors are invited to submit original manuscripts that reflect the scope and aims of Parawize Journal. Each submission undergoes editorial review to assess its relevance, clarity, and academic contribution. Submissions deemed appropriate will be forwarded for double-blind peer review prior to a final decision.

General Requirements

• Originality: Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under concurrent review elsewhere.

• Permissions: Authors are responsible for securing all required permissions for the use of copyrighted material, images, datasets, or appendices.

• Authorship: All individuals listed as authors must have made a significant scholarly contribution and have approved the final manuscript.

• Ethics Compliance: Where applicable, submissions involving human participants, fieldwork, or sensitive data must include confirmation of ethics approval in line with the legal requirements of the research locale.

• Language and Presentation: Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English. Submissions that do not meet standards of academic presentation may be returned prior to peer review.

• Plagiarism Policy: All submissions are subject to plagiarism screening using standard software tools. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 15% (excluding references and quotes) may be returned or rejected. Authors are expected to appropriately credit all sources and ensure the originality of their work.

Word Count Guidelines

Submissions should adhere to the following word counts (excluding abstract, references, and appendices):

Submissions outside these ranges must include a justification.

Manuscript Structure

Unless otherwise warranted by the submission type, manuscripts should be organized using the following structure:

1. Title Page (separate file): Full title, author names, institutional affiliations, and ORCID identifiers if you have them

2. Abstract (150–250 words)

3. Keywords (4–6 terms)

4. Introduction

5. Literature Review or Theoretical Framework

6. Methodology / Method

7. Results / Findings

8. Discussion

9. Conclusion

10. References

11. Appendices (if applicable)

12. Tables and Figures (embedded or at the end, clearly labeled)

Formatting Requirements

• Use 12-point Times New Roman font or garamond.

• Double-spaced throughout

• 1-inch (2.54 cm) margins

• APA 7th edition citation and referencing format

• Include page numbers and continuous line numbers

Manuscripts that do not adhere to formatting requirements may be returned prior to review.

APA Style (7th Edition)

All references must follow APA 7th edition formatting guidelines. This applies to in-text citations, reference lists, headings, and all stylistic elements.

We encourage the use of precise, respectful, and inclusive language.

Peer Review Process

Parawize Journal employs a double-blind peer review system. Authors must submit a blinded manuscript file without any identifying information, and a separate title page with full author details. Peer review timelines may vary, but initial editorial decisions are typically issued within 6–8 weeks.
