About the Editor
David is a Professor of Computer Science at Heriot-Watt University, UK, and also a senior data scientist in the telematics and logistics industry. Following an MSc in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and several years as a postdoc researcher at the University of Edinburgh, he has focussed on developing techniques behind AI algorithms for a range of applications, especially with regard to planning, logistics, sustainability, and data analytics. He is a recognized leader in computational intelligence, with current or previous roles on the editorial boards of several major journals. His academic work has also led directly to prize-winning projects and algorithms now deployed internationally in industry, contributing to UN sustainability goals. Since the mid 2020s, his interests have expanded to include parapsychology and parascience in general, and he increasingly pursues data-driven exploration in this area.
